Feet on the Ground, Light in Hand
In ancient Israel, a ner was a small clay oil lamp — not a floodlight, not a lighthouse. It cast just enough glow for the next few steps on a dark path. That image shapes everything I do here.
This is a lamp: practical, accessible, and close to the ground where your feet actually walk. Every study, every group comment, every reflection is written to help you take the next faithful step.
How this site works
Lamp for Feet is organized around three core areas of study as a group:
Study in a Group
Come together to study Scripture in one shared place. Take notes throughout the week, then bring them to your next group meeting for richer discussion.
Grow Together
Lean into what others see in the text. Each member contributes notes, perspectives, and resources from their personal study — so the group's understanding deepens together.
Make Disciples
Go deeper in God's Word as a body. The discussion that flows from shared study sharpens us individually and corporately, equipping the body of Christ for His purposes.
A Work in Progress
Lamp for Feet is a labor of love — one believer's attempt to build something useful for the body of Christ. This site is not backed by a large organization or staff. It is a personal offering, built in the margins of ordinary life, fueled by a conviction that the Word of God is living and active and worth every hour spent in it.
New features and changes are added regularly. If this site has been helpful to you, or if you have suggestions for how it can grow, I would love to hear from you.
